Our methodology is based on the conscious integration of instrumental practice and the understanding of musical language, avoiding treating them as separate domains. From the very first lessons, students not only reproduce repertoire but also actively develop their listening skills, pattern recognition, contextual reading, and creative exploration. The elements of musical language—rhythm, harmony, and melody—are approached through their function within real music, fostering an understanding that transcends theory and is progressively incorporated into performance, improvisation, and composition. In this way, learning becomes an emotional experience, connected to direct musical experience.

Music has been a part of my life from a very young age, and over time, it became not only my profession but also the way I understand and share the world. My path has led me through academia, orchestras, and popular music, experiences that have profoundly shaped my teaching style. I have been a violinist, music producer, violin, piano, and guitar teacher, and conductor of youth orchestras, working on major projects, at universities and institutions such as the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra , the University of Cundinamarca , Tocar y Luchar, the Bogotá Metropolitan Orchestra , and various cultural centers. I have also directed music programs in schools like Colegio Gimnasio Vermont and Colegio María del Rosario Campestre and mentored students of all ages and levels, including musicians from international backgrounds. This entire journey has taught me that music is not rigid: it is a living language that adapts, transforms, and connects with whoever performs it, regardless of their origin. Therefore, my approach as a teacher focuses on helping each student think about music, understand its language, and develop clear and effective study habits. I am interested in each person finding meaning and enjoyment in what they play, whether it's classical, popular, or music production. I firmly believe that when music is understood, it becomes natural, relatable, and deeply enjoyable.
